Respect
My way of expressing respect to people belonging to various fields who continued their essential services during the lock down period during the global pandemic of covid 19, April 2020.
Municipal workers, doctors, nurses, police, employees working from home, fruit and vegetable vendors and farmers. A number of other people like in the banking sector, house wives are missed out here.
Used pen on paper. The floral decoration is added through an app.

Acrylic Painting on Handmade Paper

I have revived my skills of painting after a decade. I am self trained in painting through practice. This is my first one in a decade, I did this last year (August 2018) And I am serious about painting regularly now.
This was inspired by the art piece on the wall of Tong Tong’s house in Pororo.
It was responsible for restarting by painting journey after ten years.

Oh ! We Brutes
“And
one day we shall eliminate the entire human race and establish the kingdom of
animals on this earth,” said monster bear in a thundering voice.
“Excuse
me” a small meek voice interrupted monster bear.
Monster
bear had to stop.
A
small hand rose among the little wonders. It was Chingu. It wanted to say
something.
“What
is it?” Monster bear said angrily.
“How
can we eliminate the humans? They are so intelligent,” said Chingu.
“That
is the reason I am here, to educate you little brutes”. The voice of the monster
bear sounded like a thunder to the young ones.
The
little wonders had to accept that they are little brutes and in order to tell
that they agree with the big bear, they all raised their heads high and
responded in chorus
“Oh!
We brutes. Oh! We brutes”
Monster
bear was pleased with the response of the young animals. “So, let me continue.”
Saying this the monster bear continued.

Oh! We Brutes
'Oh! We Brutes'
Friends, this is my new book, I published as an eBook on Google Play Books.
The journey of this book started in 2012 with a few dialogues between Chingu and the monster bear that I narrated to my son who was approaching his first birthday. My son, who could hardly speak tried to repeat the words ‘Oh! We Brutes’. I cherished that moment so much that I decided to write a book with the same title and present it to him, by the time he could read it by himself.
Initially, I started working on it, but as time passed, I became busy with my research work for Ph.D. In 2016, when I submitted my Thesis to the University, I revealed my dream of ‘gifting a book’ to my son. Few months later, on my birthday, the little boy of five years then, took his father to stationery shop and bought me a notebook to pen down all the stories I would like to include in this book. From that day, whenever, I told him any story, he would ask me if it was a part of ‘Oh! We Brutes and if I said ‘yes’, he would run for the book and a pen or a pencil and force me to write it down, before I would forget it.
Indeed, it was his continuous interest in this book that kept me going. I completed this book in 2018 and since then, I have been sending it to some traditional publishers. Some did not reply while one had rejected to publish it.
Recently, I decided to publish it as an eBook and searched on Quora https://www.quora.com/ for various options. I chose Google Play Books and published this book. I am grateful to the Google Play Book Team members, who have helped a lot in this effort and make my dream come true.
The front cover, back cover and other pictures in the book are photos of soft toys and other animal toys of my son. I used Forest Photo Editor app for editing these photos.

The Pairs of Hands
THE PAIRS OF HANDS
The pairs of hands those till the land
Till the land, those till the land
The pairs of hands those mill the clothes
Mill the clothes, those mill the clothes
The pairs of hands those lay the bricks
Lay the bricks, those lay the bricks
The pairs of hands those dig the mines
Dig the mines, those dig the mines
These are the hands those make the wealth
Make the wealth, those make the wealth
These are the hands those make our lives
Make our lives, those make our lives
But one thing that I understand not
Understand not, just understand not
Why these hands can’t feed their mouths
Feed their mouths, just feed their mouths
Why these hands can’t weave their clothes
Weave their clothes, just weave their clothes
Why these hands can’t build their homes
Build their homes, just build their homes
Why these hands have to dig their graves
Dig their graves, just dig their graves
Why these hands can’t make their means
Make their means, just make their means
Why these hands can’t make their lives
Make their lives, just make their lives
Just one thing that I understand not
Understand not, just understand not
